Angel Locsin wants to do action next

MANILA, Philippines — Angel Locsin neither confirms nor denies talks of her playing Darna anew on the planned ABS-CBN remake of the series based on the comics superheroine.

Pwedeng pahinga, pwedeng hindi; wala naman tayong hinahabol ngayon eh," the Kapamilya actress said in an interview with Push.

Angel deems it right to keep her mouth shut with regards to upcoming projects.

Coming from what she describes as "heavy drama"—referring to the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry and Best Picture, "One More Try"—Angel hopes that she can veer away from making movies for now to concentrate on TV this 2013.

Given the chance, the "Toda Max" star would want to do action next. She said, “Ako kasi sa positive things ako tumitingin ng mga bagay-bagay at nangyayari, at positive din ang papasok. Sana 'yung papasok na project is an action project para pahinga naman muna sa drama.

Angel also didn't deny the projected Star Cinema film, in which she will reportedly be cast with fellow Kapamilya actresses Toni Gonzaga, Bea Alonzo and "One More Try" co-star Angelica Panganiban.

As in on the spot sinabi sa amin tapos interview agad. The star had appeared in "In the Name of Love" in 2011, and "UnOfficially Yours" in 2012.

According to Angel, a break from doing movies will do her good because "baka wala ka nang mapakitang bago.”
